HE has terrible tusks, and terrible claws, and terrible teeth in his terrible jaws.

And yet despite all that, the Gruffalo has become one of the best-loved children’s characters of all time.

Mouse is back on his adventurous journey through the deep dark wood in this magical, musical adaptation of the award winning picture book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, which was named The Nation's Favourite Children's Book recently by the BBC.

The live theatre version of the story is a sell-out wherever it goes, prompting the Lowry to add an extra three performances to their run, which starts on April 6.

There will be shows at 2pm and 4pm on April 6, and 11am, 2pm and 4pm on April 7 and 8.

Mouse can scare hungry animals away with tall stories of the terrifying Gruffalo, but what happens when he comes face to face with the very creature he imagined?
