Prestwich Cricket Club has an important catch to make — netting a new professional.
The club has not been able to retain Amal Dalugoda for next season and is now searching for a replacement.
The Heys club finished sixth in this year’s Lancashire County League after being league and cup champions in 2007.
After missing the vast majority of last season through injury, Steven Lorenzini is expected to be fully fit for 2010 and will take up the mantle of captain again.
With first team stalwart Chris Humphreys and opening batsman Mike Hudson moving on, the side could provide some good opportunities for their highly-promising youngsters.
Anyone interested in the role of professional can contact chairman Brian Lorenzini on 07850 947534 or via e-mail on brian@pctbc.com
